This month’s key takeaways:

  • Emerging Markets & Gold LeadGlobal shares climbed, emerging markets outperformed, and gold soared 11.4 per cent, its best month in 14 years. 
  • ASX Mixed: Local shares slipped as energy and financials lagged, but small caps and gold producers shone. Northern Star Resources (NST), recently added to MPW portfolios, jumped 27 per cent.  
  • Central Bank Moves: The Fed cut rates by 0.25 per cent, signalling support, while the RBA held at 3.6 per cent with inflation firm.
  • Wealth & Energy Trends: Rising asset prices are boosting confidence, and electricity demand is set to surge as data centres and electrification ramp up.
