We’re pleased to share the latest edition of our Investment Insights report, keeping you up to date with the trends shaping markets and portfolios.

This month’s key takeaways:

  • Emerging Markets & Gold Lead: Global shares climbed, emerging markets outperformed, and gold soared 11.4 per cent, its best month in 14 years.
  • ASX Mixed: Local shares slipped as energy and financials lagged, but small caps and gold producers shone. Northern Star Resources (NST), recently added to MPW portfolios, jumped 27 per cent.
  • Central Bank Moves: The Fed cut rates by 0.25 per cent, signalling support, while the RBA held at 3.6 per cent with inflation firm.
  • Wealth & Energy Trends: Rising asset prices are boosting confidence, and electricity demand is set to surge as data centres and electrification ramp up.

Our advisory board will be meeting next week to discuss these trends in more detail. We’ll keep you updated on any relevant changes to our house view and portfolios.

We hope you find this update useful. If there’s anything you’d like to discuss, please feel free to reach out.
